Bairnsdale Gallipoli Exchange Program

Turkish Students have Arrived!

Their Turkish experience a recent memory, Bairnsdale Secondary College (BSC) year 11 students Shelby Baylis and Danielle Richards have thrown themselves back into their studies.  However, they know that their Bairnsdale Gallipoli Youth Short Term Exchange experience is set to continue when their Turkish friends arrive in Australia in July.

The Project Partnership, the Rotary Clubs of Bairnsdale, Mitchell River and Bairnsdale Sunrise, the Bairnsdale Senior Secondary College, the Bairnsdale RSL, and Turkey travel escorts John and Beth Butler, proudly advise that Bairnsdale will host students Busra Gocgen, Ece Silin, Leyla Bali/Yasmin, and teacher Aysel Oxcan, from 14th July to 14th August 2010.   Our Turkish visitors will be hosted for two weeks by two sets of BSC families, including Shelby and Danielle, and will attend the college with host students.

Many activities are being arranged for our visitors including a ‘Cocktail Party’ at the Bairnsdale RSL on Friday 30th July 2010.  Mark this opportunity, to meet Busra, Ece, Leyla, Aysel, Shelby, Danielle, our 2009 project students Jack Peterson and Katelyn Lindsay, 2009 student escorts Alan and Anne Cross, and the Bairnsdale Gallipoli Project Partnership members, in your diaries as a not to be missed event.
