The College is committed to providing a comprehensive curriculum for all our students.
The curriculum at Year 7 to Year 10 is based on the Victorian Essential Learning Standards. The Curriculum in the Later Years incorporates VCE, VET and VCAL.
| Year 7
Year 7 students have a small team of teachers that work together to make sure that all 16 Domains are covered as part of the student program. This helps reduce the number of teachers that students will need to get to know while still using the expertise and experience of our teachers to provide an interesting and challenging learning program.
Year 7students have a common program.

Guidelines
Students will be reported against each of the 16 Domains on at least two semester reports. This means that students will have to choose appropriate combinations of units over time (3 years for most students).
Compulsory Units
Students will have the opportunity to choose a learning program that best meets their educational and career needs.
The College Council has decided through consultation with students, staff and parents that some units need to be completed by all students. The aim is to provide students with essential learning and skills to develop an understanding of the world in which they live and to be able to take an active part in society.
Unit Structure
The units have been written to reflect the different skills and abilities of students. They will allow students to choose a program that will best meet their needs and aspirations. Units have been organised in stages to help students and parents to make appropriate elections. All units have two or three Focus Domains on which the learning program and assessment is based.
VCE / VET
Students may apply to include VCE and/or VET units as part of their programs. A wide range of units are available in the Later Years Selection Guide.
Access
Student access to the various stages is determined by how students perform in each Domain over the previous twelve month period. Report results are used to guide the selection process and assist students and parents with the combination of units that best meet the student’s needs.
