2010 Regional Final of Tournament of Minds

Two teams of year 7, 8 and 9 students represented the College at the 2010 Regional Final of Tournament of Minds recently. Students involved were: Amira Ah Yee-Sima, Joshua Belskyj, Shawn Drouggas, Cody Garland, Callan Jones, Heather Jones, Danielle Kenney (Maths and Engineering), Marcus Bennett, AJ Blake, Kai Hudson, Jason Jones, Mitchell Postma, Stephanie Reggardo and Elisha Thompson (Social Sciences). Tournament of Minds is an educational program aimed at developing problem solving skills in a creative and co-operative way. Teachers Robyn Kercher, Amanda Woodhouse and Jan Fiedler worked with both teams over a six week period to develop solution to their problem and present their solution in the form of a script. Although neither team was selected to proceed to the State Finals, both teams performed very well and all students represented the College admirably
