Japanese animation

The best four BSC students, Blake Crane-Taylor, Nicole
Halford, Erin Neill and Hayley Van Den Berghe received
“Owaraion” soft toys. All the participants made a card
for Tantan and signed it. Tantan is going to put the
card, photos and this article on her blog sometime
soon.

Four students received Owaraion prizes

A number of Year 8 students of Japanese last semester created their fictional animated characters and introduced them in Japanese on a PowerPoint presentation. All the students made a lot of effort to complete the task. Tantan, a well-known illustrator in Japan acknowledged the students’ creativity, drawing and design skills. She and MEDIA FACTORY INC., one of the biggest publishers in Japan, kindly sent prizes to our students. The prizes are “OWARAION” goods. “Owaraion” is a very popular cartoon character in Japan designed by Tantan. “Owarai” means “comedy” in Japanese and “Owaraion” is a “comedian lion”.
